New Recording Studio Opens at ½ûÂþÌìÌÃ

The Berkshires has long been a haven for creative professionals, including a wide variety of musicians. In the spirit of keeping that legacy alive, ½ûÂþÌìÌà (½ûÂþÌìÌÃ) recently completed construction of a new recording studio in the Koussevitzky Arts Center.

½ûÂþÌìÌà awarded more than $250K in early education grant

-- The Commonwealth's Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) has awarded ½ûÂþÌìÌà a Career Pathways Grant totaling $257,331 for the 2022 fiscal year. The grant funds tuition, fees and support for those pursuing a degree in higher education while working in the field of early education and care.

½ûÂþÌìÌà Receives Nearly $870,000 Allocation for SUCCESS

½ûÂþÌìÌà (½ûÂþÌìÌÃ) is pleased to announce it has received an allocation of $869,377 from the state legislature as part of a $16 million fund distributed to all 15 community colleges in the Commonwealth. The allocation is earmarked for the Supporting Urgent Community College Equity through Student Services (SUCCESS) Fund, which focuses on vulnerable populations. The funding, which was requested through the Massachusetts Association of Community Colleges (MACC), covers the period through June 30, 2022, but will likely be renewed if the program proves successful.

½ûÂþÌìÌà Institutes Debt Forgiveness Program

½ûÂþÌìÌà announces its plans to use $335,000 in federal Higher Education Emergency Relief Funds (HEERF) to erase outstanding balances accrued by students enrolled in credit degree or certificate programs from March 13, 2020 through May 31, 2021. HEERF funds were earmarked as part of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act.

½ûÂþÌìÌà Offers Community Health Worker Program

½ûÂþÌìÌà (½ûÂþÌìÌÃ) is pleased to announce that its Community Health Worker (CHW) non-credit certificate program is the first to be officially approved by the Massachusetts Board of Certification of Community Health Workers in Massachusetts. Completing an approved CHW training program is a requirement of becoming a certified community health worker in the Commonwealth.
